View Full Version : Taking Full Advantage Of the Powerball
I have many questions regarding the powerball. Now I have seen that many people try to get a high score on the powerball and then they stop. What I mean by it, is that they try so hard to get that score in one day, and when they get it they stop using it. Does help you get stronger in anyway? Ofcourse I want to get a highscore, but the main thing is that I want to gain strength and also get toned; and If I gain strength, will I be able to get a high score? What excersises should I do that will make me gain strength and get toned. thank you.
(I have the 250Hz Powerball PRO)

Hi there,
If you use the Powerball regularly you'll definitely notice your arm muscles getting toned, and you'll feel some increased strength too. Perhaps because of my technique, but I've noticed the biggest muscular-type difference in my shoulders and lateral triceps. When I first started I felt a lot of muscle-burn in my forearm, and they've toned up nicely too.
High scores with a Powerball aren't all about strength though...it's more about technique really.
thanks for the reply...but i would like to know what excersise you do specifically to gain strength. thanks.

Well, extended use of the Powerball will help you gain strength, but I guess you're wanting to know which exercises stengthen which muscles, yes?
I mean, I hold my arm relatively straight, and down by my side, and this works my shoulders and triceps. If I hold my arm bent, with the Powerball up near my head, this works my biceps more.
The direction in which you rotate your wrists also makes a difference.
But this is all talk. You wait until you get one and after a minute of use I bet you'll find your muscles are hurting, but in time you'll notice some real strength and tone improvements.
Good luck.
yeah i already have one. but thanks for the info...

if u wanna get big arms then get in the gym, nothing more effective than curling dumbells, straight bar, and doing pull downs or jumping on the smiths machine, powerballs obviously will make u stonger and increase your grip though
Yeah I agree with millenwagon here, Powerballs are a great supplement to a weight training routine. Basically, you're going to be less limited by your grip and forearm strength and you'll be able to curl, push, and pull, more weight. So far I've seen marked improvement in my biceps curl, pullups and dips as my grip and forearms no longer fail me at the end of the set instead of the target muscles.
