Hi,

Just working with my new powerball, I have a question on the counter.

It seems that only the mode the counter is in counts. I mean, when the countermode is Highscore, the total amount of spins is not computed. Is that correct?

PS, I used the search, but couldn't really find anything

Regards, Jan

There are different modes, if you press FCN it will switch between each, the symbol that looks like a lightening bolt is the highest score, when the powerball is moving, the symbol will change. Thus now it shall count the RPM you mannage in that session. If you beat your record it will flash, then when the powerball is stopped it will erase your old score and update with your new score.

Hi Tom,

Thanks for the answer, but that is not what I mean.

Is it correct the counter only works for the mode selected? So if the counter is in Highscore mode, the total amount of spins is not counted.

Hi Jan,

That is indeed correct. You're not the first to suggest it'd be nice to know the total number of revs your PowerBall has made since its first spin ever, regardless of the mode it is in. The first option is meant for training stamina.

Notably, it'd still be possible to know the number of revs you achieve in one session if the counter would accumulate the total revs ever made. You'd just have to write down the score it shows before you start the session and calculate the difference afterwards.

Anyway, I believe Enda is the one to direct these kind of questions to. Other nice options would be to store for instance the 30-, 60- and 90-sec high scores.

Hope this helps. Kind regards,
Dennis

The older counters...the ones with only three functions...did sort of have what you are talking about. In the real-time "current rpm" mode, the counter would also store the highest rpm if it beat the saved highest rpm.

If that makes sense? I would love it if ANY of the modes would save the highest RPM if it beat the stored best score.
