Have anyone else experienced that the supporing ring or what it is called that is attached arround the rotor wears out faster with the metal powerball ?

I was opening up the metal PB to do some cleaning of it. There i saw that the supporting ring was more or less worn out. The plastic were melted away and I had to remove small strings of plastic. Also noted that the square formed bricks were circular , and that they were pressed into a convex shape.

Perhaps it is dependent on how much strength and endurance you have, I manage to run the metal at 9k-10k for long periods.

Hi armnerd,

It may be the result of your increradibly long sessions, which I read about in another thread of yours... Don't know if other people use their Metal for endurance sessions of three hours straight?

Kind regards,
Dennis

My Metal support band and washers did wear out pretty quickly at first, yes. I've replaced them and they're lasting a lot longer...perhaps because my technique is smoother...I don't know.

I use a lot of force to keep it running yes. I tend to score better on the metal than on the 250 Hz powerballs. I just seem unable to get to and beyond the 14k limit of the 250-ies
