My powerball was fine for the first day since I recieved it, but I dropped it that night (oops) from a height of about 3 feet onto carpet. Besides the knocking noise addressed in the FAQ, it was fine until the next day, when it started making a scraping-like noise at speeds under ~5000 rpm. I've taken it apart, cleaned it quite thoroughly with rubbing alcohol, and it didn't help too much. Advice?
