Hi people, im new to this forum, and have just purchased a powerball, and have a few questions to ask which i would like to think that some of you will be able to answer.

I am buying the powerball mainly to increase the muscles size in my forearms and upper arm muscles, and which would be the best way to go about doing this. e.g - would it be best to do long sessions of low RPM's, or bursts of power with much higher RPM's?

this is the same as with weights... long sessions will strenghten your muscles more than grow them and bursts will pump them up

But what if i do, say...10 minutes of low rpm and a few 30 second bursts of full out rpm per day? will i get the best of both worlds? or doesnt it work like that?

yes it works like that quite good and Adrena1in is a good example of this technique... he does (did) long 10-30 minutes warm-ups then rest a few minutes and go for some speed

Any use of the Powerball is going to build your muscles up a bit. The biggest "pump" I've ever got is from doing about an hour or more of continuous use, at high (9000 to 10000) revs, but that was when I was a relative noobie...nowadays I don't get the same sort of feeling.

The 250Hz Powerballs are better for toning muscles rather than building them up really. If you want bulk then get a 350Hz Metal with the heavy rotor...serious workout material! :)

So if i was looking to make my muscles lol bigger (;) ) i would do 30 second bursts...right?

and if i wanted to strengthen my muscles also, i could do some endurance aswell as the 30 second bursts, and still get my muscles to look bigger, yea?

The longer you do the action for, the bigger your muscles will get.

For a real burn, spin the Powerball as fast as you can for as long as you can. After 30 seconds you'll have slowed down a lot. After a minute your arm will feel like lead. After 2 minutes you'll hardly be able to move it at all. ;)
