View Full Version : Help
First of all, I will start by saying hallo to all the Powerballers in here, so; Hallo.
I have some questions concerning Powerball.
I'm thinking of buing a Powerball, now, my question is; Which one should I buy?
Money is not an issue since I'm working now.
I'm a pretty big guy, 6'4 (Yes, I know, there are bigger, but that's still pretty big :P )
I heard that the Powerball Techno has a problem with the counter, so that is out of the question.
I want a powerfall, heavy powerball, I also read some topics in the forum concerning the rotors (light metal and such) . What is the diffrance and what is still for sale?

Tommer

Hi,
You would probably be best with a metal powerball if you want a heavy one. There is just one rotor available now (the heavy one), the light screamer rotor isnt released yet. The metal RRP is £69.99.
Stephen
Well if you want to jump straight into heavy powerballs then buy the metal but i would recommend first getting a 250hz neon pro then invest in a metal :D
Well i started with a 250hz neon pro now i have a techno but soon i want a metal... there sooo shiny :)
Any way good luck and i hope this helped
Best Regards
Slim :p
Thanks for the replies guys.
Two questions remain: What is the diffrance between the Heavy rotor and the rotoer that will be released?
On to the second question: Which ball is the most suitable to cold weather? (In the thought that I will train outside, will hopefully get to North Norway for my service.)
Regards,
Tommer.
I would suggest the 250 Hz Pro or Neon Pro first.
There is not a 'problem' with the Techno counter, it is just quite tricky to use as a beginner and is probably not as good if you are monitoring high scores. It is however, extremely impressive. :)

The techno's counter system has been reported to be error prone.
Tommer: The rotor that is coming will be much lighter than the current one and so easier to achieve high scores. It will also be designed in a way to emit a very loud noise while in use .. hence its aka "the screamer" :). Maybe you should start with a Pro model to get used to the motion and technique before considering a metal.

This is a minor incident though Stephen and a little unfair to suggest that it is a widespread problem. In fact, I am sure that this problem presented itself in a few of the earlier units and is now rectified. And..... you always have the peace of mind of the Lifetime Warranty.
I hope Enda will post to clarify this matter as it seems to be causing some confusion which could be unjustifiably detrimental to Techno sales. This would certainly be a shame as it is a mighty fine member of the Powerball family.

It is a minor incident yes, and I didn't mean to suggest it to be a widespread problem.
i woul drecomend a 250 pro to start on powerballing.. Regards and welcome to the forum =D

Indeed...
In most cases the Techno will report the same scores as a counter unit, though on rare occasions can report an incorrect score. We can however always verify the authenicity of scores by analysing the sound produced when the ball is spun at high speeds.
Admittedly there are only one or two Techno scores on the scoreboard, but this is due to the fact that it is more difficult to get the higher speeds than with a Neon or a 250Hz.
I happen to love the Techno... I have one for ages and am delighted to say it has retained that silky smoothness since day one... I pick it up and give it a spin about once or twice a week though tend not to give it the same thrashing as I do my 250Hz Powerballs!
Regards
Enda
