Is my score of 10409 not enough to open this thing? Do I just need more practice?? I can't unscrew it.... I tried using rubber gloves even.

Odd, the two parts should unscrew fairly easily really. ???

Yes, I was really cranking on it. I had my uncle try too, with rubber gloves.....

I'm assuming lefty-loosy and righty-tighty still apply. Unless these were built in Australia, where everything is bass ackwards.

haha, that's true. maybe it's become magnetized, hehe. Too much friction of the metal caused the magnets to magnetize towards the rotor, lol.

I removed the grip band when I tried unscrewing it.

Ok. Today I jumped up to 10580 (350hz) & 12776 (250hz). A good "hot mode" for me :)
Maybe I can open it now. If I left the grip band on while unscrewing it, wouldn't that stretch the band out and ruin it?

To get this clear, take the rubber grip band off before trying to unscrew it. Perhaps put on some rubber gloves to give you extra grip, because it sounds like yours is screwed together unnaturally tight.

Good morning MrCharlie,
I would guess that is is almost impossible to open your Metal Powerball while the grip-band is still in place.
You will need to remove this before you can unscrew the halves.
Once you have done this, you should have no difficulty in unscrewing it.

I removed the band and wore rubber gloves, that did the trick. :-)

Good morning MrCharlie,
The best thing for you to do is to send your Powerball back to us - I have seen it with one oher metal Powerball which was quite difficult to open, though with a bit of perseverence I managed it! ;)
You will need to send it to us at this address:
Repairs Department
RPM Sports
Nenagh Road
Thurles
Co. Tipperary
Ireland
Please ensure that you package it well to avoid damage to the Powerball, and we recommend that you use a recorded service to ensure that your Powerball arrives safely with us.
Also, please include a print of this thread and your contact email address with a return shipping address.
Regards

Cancel that...
I had my boss try today. He hit 13k in less than 1 week and could drive a golf ball 360 yds BEFORE EVER HEARING ABOUT POWERBALL. He's a big dude. He was able to get it open.... :D

Glad to hear it MrCharlie!
Have you tried opening it since yourself? It should be easy now.. Very occasionally, it is very difficult to open the Metals (I've had it with one so far) but with a bit of perseverence it comes apart. After you get it open once, its no problem.

Yeah, just don't get your boss to screw it together again or you'll be back to square one! ;)

I'm afraid not MrCharlie,
The counter is a slightly more snug fit on the Metals, but with some gentle persuasion it will pop into place with no problems.

i have an easy way to do it... ... ill try to explain it..
the thing is that... you first put one side of the counter, then when you are going to put the other side of the counter.... dont press it.. you have to push it towards the other side... hope someone understand this XDDDD
it should be an esy task
REGARDS!
