Just got the Neon Blue Pro today, got the cord stuck, freed, and then later actually broke one end of it (nice cracking sound that made). The little trooper seems ok, lights up and all, but at thumb speeds (<2000rpm), squeaking sounds abound where none did before. Do I need to be worried?

(Unlikely that you need to worry at this stage LJ - this has happened to us in the past where after a very severe drop (during product tests) one of the poor little guys will end up sqeaking like a frightened mouse...usually after 20 minutes of random use, the squeaking will go out of the ball as the inside components mesh back together in harmony once again.

(If it fails to be quiet after a reasonable time however, drop us a line with your details and we'll send you off some new innards! - regards Rory)

Got my Signature Pro four days ago, have already got a 250hz Pro which I've had for a couple of weeks, but just wanted a new lighty flashy one.. Heheh. Unfortunately starting the new signature pro one way causes a horrid squeak which will not subside until 8000+ RPM. It seems odd that it doesn't squeak starting in the other direction. It has done this from day one, and does not seem to get any better as suggested in the below post. In fact I think (am pretty sure) it is getting worse.

I know you're thinking, well just start it the non squeaky way, alas once you get started you hardly want to stop it and start it up the other way now!!

Any suggestions?

Many thanks
Claud.

You mean rotor rotation direction makes difference in sound? It sounds like defect if so.
