This used to be the same for me, until I changed the direction I rotate my wrist...now my right is better in every way. (Except at "being a bit ****"...my left is far superior there!)Originally Posted by Akis

However, if your left is faster, was your "Screamer" record with your left hand? (I think I only saw your 18644 (or something), which was with your right...perhaps your 18656 (or whatever) was with your left? I never saw that video.)![]()
Wow thats really interesting, Akis. If you dont mind, I have two questions related to rotation direction for you. First, what are your reverse direction scores? Secondly, have you had any experience using two hands at once(on one powerball)?
Also, I have an update on my personal 'war of directions'. Today, my right hand clockwise again came out on top with an astounding 12701! (astounding for me anyway)
Interesting, considering your latest remarkable "upgrade".Originally Posted by Adrena1in

All records with all metal powerballs are with right hand. I haven't managed to use left hand's technique successfully with the metals.
I'm afraid I don't keep record of reverse rotation scores, nor do I use to try for such. I do reverse rotation 30s for exercise sometimes but generally the feeling is very awkward; it just seems wrong to me.Originally Posted by Installed
Regarding two hands on one powerball, there is no hope for coordination this way, so I'm not fan of this either.
I credit that for my recent big jump in reverse rotation scores too, after I hit about 12k, I started pulsing and it accelerated like never before, I think if I focused I could pass 13k in reverse easily also.Originally Posted by Adrena1in
I'm sorry but I couldn't find it in the thread, but from what it looks like you turn right hand clockwise and left hand anti-clockwise like the 2:1 majority of this thread, am I right?Originally Posted by AKIS
Yep, I think Akis is a "Wax-On-Wax-Off"-er. Bjorn is a "Sanda-Floor". Mark and Jaco are WOWOs. Pako's a SF. Good mix at the top there.
if you spin it different directions it works different muscles it seems, i change direction every couple of minutes
Weird one, I seemed to prefer and do better with clockwise right and anti-clockwise left at first.
But I do spin both ways with each hand and just lately I seem to be doing better anti-clockwise right and clockwise left.
All my latest personal best scores have been anti-clockwise with the right hand.
I'll prolly keep trying changes of direction to see what happens.
same here, initially I wasn't sure which way was faster for me but then I suddenly hit a wall with my right hand spinning clockwise, so I focused on anticlockwise rotation and have stuck with it ever since. A similar thing happened with my left hand, I started with an anitclockwise rotation and couldn't actually keep it going in reverse at all, but I always felt this technique wasn't really utilizing my full power and when I hit a progress wall with this hand aswell I decided to switch. Took a while to get the hang of it at first but I quickly improved and within 2 weeks I had beaten my previous LH record by a couple hundred rpm.
So now im spinning, RH Anticlockwise LH Clockwise, both rotating inwards as it were. This also helps my dual runs.
