Good idea that, selling different parts and allowing a person to customise their Powerball. My best customisation was a half-amber/half-blue 250Hz...nothing that special I suppose. Would be nice if more shell colours were available, and also more rotor colours.

Hey Enda, how about a multi-colour-LED Neon option?!

A spiral on a rotor of a powerball would look amazing.

What do you mean? Do you mean a pattern on the rotor surface? At the speeds a Powerball goes you wouldn't see it...it'd just be a blur.

I cant tell how old these are, is the new site up yet, or are we still waiting... I'd love to get a neon red rotor, in my neon blue case for a Purple lightshow!

EDIT: I see the dates now, I guess it hasnt happened yet.

No, new site not up yet, but I gather it's going to be very soon.

And sorry to disappoint you, but I've already tried a Neon Red rotor in a blue shell, and it didn't come out purple. Mind you, it was a cheap knock-off rotor from a different product, so might work better with proper NSD products. I might try again when I have all the Neons to play with!

I bought a Neon Green for a friend and had it shipped directly to him, it was his birthday. I was surprised to see the shell was blue just like my Neon Blue, but it lights up green. I am curious if the Red is in the blue shell too, anyone here have a Red?

The red is in an orange (amber?) shell. :-)

As Lazarus says, it's an Amber shell. As standard there are only Amber and Blue shells. There are red, blue or green LEDs though, and the shell colour doesn't really make a difference as the colour isn't "dense" enough.

    Rats, I had hoped.

My next mod would be to buy up allt hose little 5 dollare led flashlights and solder multiple colored diodes to the board, mabe red on one side and blue on the other will give me purple.

Still no I'm afraid. I've not butchered a Powerball to swap out LEDs, but I did buy a cheap copy once which was supposed to be a "neon red", but it had half-red and half-blue LEDs...and that's exactly what it looked like! (Mind you, it was very VERY ****...only two or four LEDs, and very dim ones at that...which only came on at about 5000 rpm. The NSD Neons have 6 LEDs I think, and are very bright and come on at around 1500 to 2000 rpm...a mix of reds and blues might give a bit of a purple tinge. I've got one of each, but I wouldn't dare take them apart to that extent...they're brand new and lovely and quiet and smooth and they work!)
