    Default Spares Please

Yes I agree, the kit idea would be great, I wouldn't mind paying for the spares as long as they can keep the parts and postage costs as small as possible. This should be be an option as well as the standard Guarantee for those less willing to do their own repairs.

Default Option to order outer shell halves?

    Hi,

I hope Enda has some time to answer this question; momentarily, he's very busy making improvements to the website.

I would appreciate it very much if one could order the sphere halves of the outer shell as well. I noticed that one half suffers much more than the other half (dependent on your favourite hand, spinning direction and the way you hold the PowerBall). I could defenitely use some replacements of the halves; especially the one with the opening (i.e. the opposite half of where the counter is positioned), as I spin my PowerBall like Akis (though not nearly as fast, though *sigh*): opening to the palm of my right hand and rotation clock-wise. Some of the inner tracks are so badly worn that I cannot get over 14k anymore; and I'm very careful to use my precious little orbs as they are intended (i.e. prevent knocking etc)...! I think a complete new outer shell and inner support ring could solve the problem.

What do you think, Enda? Would it be possible to order any individual part of the PowerBall separately (except for the computer-balanced rotor, maybe; as I figured this must be the most expensive part of the PowerBall)? I believe many of us would only need a complete outer shell and inner support ring to make their PowerBall(s) as good as new again... No need for a new counter unless its broken.

    Kind regards,
    Dennis

I dropped my metal powerball today on my kitchen floor while wiping it down. This is the first time I dropped any of my powerballs. I was just sick to see it bouncing on the floor a couple of times. Well you guessed it, it knocks now. I opened it up and the only thing I can see is that the ring that is set in the lower sphere has 2 dents from the rotor spindles. The metal comes with the other 2 rings in the replacement kit. I would like to be able to replace the lower ring if possible.
There has been alot of talk about replacement parts for some time now. When are they going to be available?

They will be available from our new site - this should be live in the next 2 weeks (fingers crossed )

If you need any parts, please email liz@powerballs.com in the mean-time...

    Regards

hi, it's not really the best topic, but since you replace damaged parts, and also offer full money back guarantee just because a user might not like his powerball, can you also "upgrade" them?
what i mean is... i have a normal 250hz powerball now (finally bought one ), but in 6 months i may want a 350hz metal powerball, can i just send mine back, pay the price difference (assuming it's not damaged) and get the new powerball?

yeah, i was wondering about a similar thing. For example, i`d like to have a 250hz instead of neon. I could pay a little for change if that's possible.

We had actually considered this in the past, but felt that it would not be feasible given that we would quite likely end up with quite a collection of variously worn and/or damaged Powerballs which in most cases could not be re-used.

Once our new site goes on-line (by the end of the month I expect) the parts will be available for purchase if desired which will allow you to purchase a 250Hz/Neon rotor and also opt for different coloured rotors which should make for some very interesting looking Powerballs!

The costs for this should be relatively low as you will be purchasing only a component and should offer a quick and easy way to customise or change your Powerball!

    Regards
