    Default Gloves For Grip?

    Just got 2 questions:

    1. Are you allowed to use gloves when making the powerball video, or when attempting a powerball record?

    2. Are you allowed to remove the rubber band when attempting a powerball record?

    Thanx

I'm sure there aren't any rules saying you have to leave the rubber grip on and you have to use bare hands. Several people have submitted scores with gloves on, (Bjorn Hjelte for example), and Alexandre Grenet doesn't use the rubber grip on his Metal.

Why, have you scored higher with either of these methods?

Was just wondering! My hands sweat when using the metal powerball, so I want to buy myself gloves so that I could have more grip!

    Thanx

More grip???!!! My goodness...isn't 15k already a very nice score?

But to answer your questions. My personal opinion is that you should use the powerball in a pure way. No aids, just go for it.

I mean...every aid which helps to reach higher scores is some kind of cheating isn't it? And yes, we all know that powerballing is also about grip. So, then I say..train your grip strenght

And if you would allow aids, where do you put the line? Can we use doping too? Can we tape the powerball to our hands? Can we glue the powerball with powerkit to our hands?

    Best regards,

    The Force
P.S. Congrats with passing the 15k barrier

P.S.2: And I suffer from sweaty hands myself too. Very disadvantageous when using the metal indeed.

I too suffer from frip problems and my friends and i have taken to using chalk on our hands to help with the grip problem. although i think actually using gloves or tape or whatever is defeating the purpose of the grip training a little. its like when i have to throw the javelin or the discuss. you are allowed chalk but no tape on your fingers or gloves or anything. even if your hand if dripping with blood ;~(.. although if your hand is bleeding i would recomend a band aid or not using your powerball until it heals ..

I don`t want to use chalk because i don`t want it to get inside the powerball... :/ the best grip method for me is take a good hot bath and then take a powerball and do a spin right away without any warmups, because your muscles are already warm and relaxed and then they can get tough very fast because they are warm - i actually broke my 90s and speed records today using this method. I broke like 10 records in total using it
