Thread: Which Powerball should I get??

Default Which Powerball should I get??

I am currently working with Therabee and Theragrip hand gyros, neither of which can come close to the speed of a Powerball. I have easily maxed out both balls, and the rotors are starting to crack from my excessive speed... I only say that because the balls have never been dropped, and I inspected the one before and after my spin and found hairline cracks all around it afterwards. I am hooked on these things, and I want to get the best workout I can for the money. The Techno seems cool because of the unique score displaying system, but is any particular Powerball better than another (besides the Metal??) What are the big differences between the 250Hz Pro, Neon Pro, and Techno other than the lights and score reading method? If there is no benefit to having the lighted models, then I might as well go with the standard 250Hz Pro because I just love the workout and don't care about other people seeing me do it.

I may just buy 2 right away, but I want to make sure I am buying the right one. If it matters, I'm about 6'1" tall and 220lbs. I'm overweight, but my arms have always been my strong point... I'd like to get them to be much stronger...

im not really experienced with this stuff

but im suggesting you should get 1 that's a normal 250HZ, and 1 metal

that should be enough to keep you working quite a bit

    Good Morning dragonriot,

I would suggest that you opt for the 250Hz Pro model which is the model without lights and has a counter so that you can keep track of your scores.

As for a second ball, if you like the Techno or Neon Pro models, by all means you could purchase one of these, but I would suggest getting a 350Hz Metal Powerball if you're looking for the true flagship model.

The heavy rotor in the Metal will guarantee the best workout - in fact you will probably still achieve an 7-10k score but the intensity of the workout is very different indeed! You might like to read a little more on the Metal here

    Hope this helps!

    Regards

    Enda

I would also suggest a standard 250Hz Pro and the Metal 350Hz.

    Cool

Well, everyone on here has pretty much put the same thing. I own one blue neon pro, and am happy with it. I got it because i thought the lights look well cool (and i still think so). Im gonna get a metal definitely as well, as they are just so far above the plastic ones in terms of looks, durability (maybe not the support band but hey) and of course POWER!
Im also gonna get a normal 250hz pro as they are supposed to be faster and more durable than the neons.
I wouldnt recommend getting a techno, as they are slower than the neons again, and i dont think they have the strength index mode? Im sure one of the moderators will correct me on this if im wrong.

So yeh, i agree with the advice of a 250hz pro and a metal
(obviously all with counter as thats half the fun)

Correction, the Techno does have a 30s-strengh index mode ;-)
You can make the Techno switch between both modes by keeping the powerball for about 15seconds between 6000 and 8000 rpm. Others, will correct me if I am wrong ;-)
