Thank you for your optimism, but I'm not sure if a 48 year old arm can do that. :-)

I will be happy to submit some "coming out of retirement" video.

That's funny, because today I wanted to show my second grade class how to do the 90 second mode.
I told them that I felt confident I could get a score that would land me in the top 100. I had never done a 90 second spin before as I had just figured out how to work the counter. All of my Powerballs have old counters. A friend sent me an Ultimate Gyro that has a "new" counter on it. I knew about the 90 second mode- but couldn't figure out how to get the counter there- until yesterday.
Anyway... this morning, in front of 16 wide eyed students, I clocked a 15,661 in 90 seconds. As I excitedly showed everyone my score that qualified me for the top 100 (and restored my former Powerball fame ;-) ) the numbers disappeared off of the counter. We never got to take the picture. :-(
I was devastated, my arm was very tired, but of course the kids thought I could just crank it up again and hit another 15K+.
I told them that I might be able to come back later in the day- with a camera- and give it "another spin".
This afternoon, tired arm and all, I hit 15,967. The kids were excited. I was excited. I got the camera, snapped three pictures, went to the computer to see them and.... :-( TOO MUCH FLASH! Couldn't see a thing but a white circle.
I have now pledged to this group of second graders that, Monday morning, Mr. Ash will crack the 16,000 barrier.
17K eh? My arm hurts just thinking about it. I think I'll just go take a nap. Or maybe I'll go start a "40 and over" League instead... :-)

Jeff, you have to be more optimistic! You sure can do a 17k with such great speed scores... all you need is a good, dry grip and a nice warmup... take a hot bath, clean your hands well with a towel and do one 30s runs for each hand. Not very fast, just warm up and then rest a couple of minutes and do a 90s run! Oh, and you should be able to do a lot bigger score on 30s than 5600 because, for example my 30s score is 5151 and my speed highscore is only 11725 but i rarely get more than 11200.
