    Default Messing with washers!

So my Power vibrates oh-so-slightly, and after a little dispatch of replacement washers and support band (thanks Enda!), I accidentally put an extra washer in on the non-counterweight side, and boy, was the ball fluid! It was really hard to start up, though, and don't even mention accelerating. But, then I managed to break my previous record, with it, and decided to wipe off the plastic from the new support band. Well, I noticed that I had put the extra washer in, and so I took it off, and the results are amazing! My previous record was about 10.4k with the extra (square) washer, and suddenly, I got a nice little 1k boost, bringing it up to 11.4K with just the standard setup. Try it, you might get surprised

    Question Ummmmm

So you put an extra washer on, it slowed you down. You took it off, you sped up again! Doh! If I put buckets on my feet, I run a lot more slowly. Take off the buckets, Hey Presto, marvellous increase in performance. Doesn't mean I can run any faster!

    True Autolupus,

But if you tried to run as fast as you normally would with the added hindrance of the buckets, as soon as you removed them, it would be easier (or at the very least feel easier) to run at the same speed as before.

    Regards

You didn't understand at all, did you? I put the washer on, did everything as normal, got the same speeds as normal. Then, I took them off, and got a 1k boost. Trying to be a smartass really, really needs you to actually understand what you're trying to be a smartass about.

To me this all sounds like a coincidence. I mean...a 1k improvement is a lot but not exceptional. Just to illustrate..my progress in the first months was as follows (roughly):

    week 0: 10k
    week 1: 11.5k
    week 2: 12.5k
    week 4: 13k
    week 9: 13.8k
    week 13: 14.2k

As you can see...in the beginning you improve very rapidly. I even broke records 4 times a day sometimes. In the end, it's all a matter of improving your technique and rhythm.

    Regards,

    Default Spare support band...

My powerball vibrates a bit too, makes a bit of a horrible noise when spinning at low revs. I did actually drop it yesterday (for the first time, that was quite a horrible moment watching it fall to the floor), but the noise was there long before that, pretty much from the day i got it. The dropping doesnt seem to have damaged it too much. There is a small dent in the sphere, but i managed to even it out a bit and with some endurance runs it should be back to normal.

Anyway, about the vibrating, would a new rotor support band and a set of washers do the trick? I'd really like to see if that would help!

Im gonna put an order in for another powerball here soon anyway, would you guys be able to put a spare support band and some washers in for my other powerball?
