go to the gym.![]()
When I was relatively new to Powerballing I did some extreme endurance...kept the Powerball going quite fast for an hour or two. Left my arms feeling completely pumped.
Nowadays I don't feel pumped after such a long period of Powerballing though, so I'm getting too used to it. Perhaps an hour with the 250Hz Metal will pump me up. Otherwise, for massive muscle building, yes, try the gym.
Yeh, thats what ive been doing. The powerball leaves my arms feeling nicely pumped after a good hour or so of spinning it(I got it 5 days ago).
The beautiful thing about powerball is that after a hard run (to try and beat your max), it feels so much nicer to use it slowly for a bit as a bit of a muscle massage than not at all! Then after spinning it slowly you'll want to speed it up again and so on...
I also find it a good warm up for doing some dumb-bells. After powerballing for a bit and you feel like doing some weights, no more warm up is necessary!

Hi,
So anyone know what the best way to build muscle with a Pball?
From the little i know about exercise, (which may not that much) spinning away for ages at a relativly high speed would tone the forearm. But some 30sec blasts done in, i guess "set" style sesions would be better for high speeds and muscle growth.
this truei really dont know
Ive tended to do a couple of hundered on each arm in the counter mode then 3 30sec blasts with rests in between. Trying to get the best of both.
hope someone can help me out here![]()
If you really aim at gaining muscles you should do bodybuilding and not powerballing. Powerballing is so much more than gaining strength. It's also about concentration/dedication/synchronisation/technique and last but not least ADDICTIVE FUN
So please forget about gaining muscles. Yes, your arms will get thicker and stronger but don't expect miracles.

The Powerball is primarilly a strength building tool when use for sport. It will exercise and strengthen your muscles from the tips of your fingers to your shoulder and up into your neck. Depending on how you use it, you will exercise different muscle groups.
You will find that over time you build muscle using the Powerball, but that is not its purpose.

Okay, Cheers.
Knew i wasnt going to get Arni arms from Pball, really do just use it for fun.
Was just to see which use would be best for High score training![]()
Thanks for your input guys.
The general consensus (and I stand to be corrected on thisOriginally Posted by Jive
) is to use the Strength Index mode for training, and then to use the high score mode when going for the records.
Some people have suggested using the 90sec mode but Akis favours the 30 sec mode. link

I agree with that too, but I think that it depends on your current level. For me, when I was a 12k Powerballer, very long (30 minutes to 2 hours) hard endurance sessions were beneficial to my high speeds. When I got to around 13k, I found that several 90-second Strength Index sessions were good.Originally Posted by Enda
Now that I'm stuck on 13.5k I find long endurance doesn't really help, so I think I''ll start on 30-second Strength Index runs to see if that makes any difference.
Or I'll just try what Mathieu Tauzin does, and only do speed runs for hours on end until I see an improvement.
