pulsing technique
im very new to powerballing and my personal best was around 11900, i read about wrist locking and then only pulsing the arm above speeds of 10,11k but how should u hold the ball when pulsing and how to pulse, i make above 11k any time but cant do more i think because i cant pulse

A difficult one to articulate - it is best described if you look at a video of Akis in action for example...take a look at the very last spin he makes in this little 43 second clip...note the way his whole arm is assisting the spin in the final few seconds when the revs are really rising...some people move the arm even more at the height of the spin... Mark Chaplin for example, really pulses his whole arm in that spin right up to the shoulder...and you can see the results that it gives from the score he makes...hope this helps, regards Rory
someone could explain the pulsing technique
....thx....

i see how they do it but i find when i try to pulse, i move my hand from side to side and generally lose momentum.

I think the pulsing technique would only really come into proper effect over about 13500 to 14000 revs.

I agree w/Tim. Don't even waste your time with trying to pulse until you can hit over 12k with your wrist alone.

pulsing technique
after a half day of competeing with my friend we started to enter in the Akis called "hot mode" and from an average of 11300-11500 rpm i jumped to 12875
and my friend to 12700
rpm and the other day and since than i can easly
make 12500 and above but not yet 13k
u said u need 12k rpm for pulsing so what should i do next i have the speed but dont know
thx Akis for ur "tips"

It's been said in this thread that it's mostly wrist til 12k and then the "pulse" comes into play. I can hit 12k and am sure I have the strength to go higher. Is there some sort of transition phase? To use engine carburation as an analogy, transition from idle jet, to needle jet, to main jet, when an engine accelerates should be smooth but you can get flat spots on the change over if you have a mismatch! How do you transfer from one to the other smoothly and without any flat spots? I feel I've got a flat spot!
