Over 11000 on your first go and you're wanting advice?! Doesn't look like you need it to me!

There's no "correct" grip and there isn't really a "correct" technique either.

I've found that new Powerballers tend to move their arm in large circles, or flex their wrist back and forth in a straight line. Both okay for exercise, but for high speed the only thing you really need to concentrate on is keeping the movement as small as possible.

My main recommendation is endurance. Watch the videos from the Strength Index scoreboard and see how people (me included) don't move their arms that much when driving the Powerball from 11k upwards. It's mostly about technique, and it will come to you in time, the more you use the Powerball.

    Good luck.

yes y r right tim i tend to make "big" circles but above 10500 rpm my "ball" is starting to slip coz of my sweaty hands, i saw ur video, i will try to concentrate on the circles not on my hands speed

    thx alot Tim

    keep up the good work

    Our comments:
We recommend regular cleaning for all those of you who have mastered the relatively simple task of opening the ball - this allows you to remove any foreign matter or those tiny pieces of plastic dust that can accumulate inside having been shed from the rotor support band if the ball is used incorrectly.

Regular cleaning will prevent the metal axle from literally vulcanising those particles down onto the platter surface on which the support band sits and subsequently altering that perfect frictional state (between the support band and platter) of the ball when new.

So, keep it clean and keep it spinning! Regards, Rory

    Thumbs up Speed Hot Mode

after reading what Akis said about hot mode i think this is what happened to me and my friend after half a day of trying to beat each others scores from an average of 11300-11500 rpm y suddenly jumped to 12875 and my friend to 12700 since that day i can easly make above 12500 all the time but now i think i must do something else coz my wrist can rotate the ball any higher speeds

My only "Hot Mode" happened when my record was 12006...after a little endurance my record shot up to 12802, and I too could regularly do 12500 to 12700 from then on.

Since then I've only improved in jumps of a maximum of around 100 to 200 at a time though.
