Opening without a vise

One of my friends dropped my powerball, and its been a week or so with knocking. I don't have a vise, so I'm wondering if anyone has some trick or cheat to open it up!

I would say that the vise is the most safe manner to open the ball.. with the hands you cannot.. it's really to hard. You could try to put the ball down on the flat surface (where there were the screw) and press exactly on the offer side. But it's a bit dangerous..

You know, this noise can go away imself; by running the ball. You can also try to blow air (like for electronic composents) under pressure to clean the inside of the ball, it works. (read the FAQ, but I guess you did it already)

I do not have a vise either. To open the pb, I sqeeze it firmly between my palms until it pops.
Before trying, make sure to get the rotor axle vertical to the screw-hole axis (pressure should be applied along the screw-hole axis).

It is possible of course, but will require super strength to squeeze like this...you could always try the old "hardback book, floor and foot" technique!
