Last fall I was thrown from my bicycle and shattered the head of my humerous into four pieces. First surgeon I saw wouldn't touch it.
Second surgeon gave me a 50% chance of keeping my shoulder and 50% chance of getting a metal replacement.
I got to keep it (after 4.5 hours of surgery) and then went through 6 months of very painful PT. I recovered about 95% of original motion (surgeon told me that with a lot of hard work, I might get up to 85%).
Now that I've been released from PT, I'm looking for anything that will help me maintain (or improve) my shoulder muscle tone.
Can the Powerball be of help for me? How should I use it to focus on my shoulder? A friend of mine let me try his... all the effort seemed to focus on lower arm.
Thanks for any/all info
I'm currently using my powerball for shoulder therapy aswell, I find that if I get the ball up to around 10k and raise my arm away from my body and slightly turn my whole arm to make the rotor spin, that it gives me a soothing but effective exercise. Try that out and let me know how you progress.
