Default Duane Cash - Metal scores - The Climb to 14K

    Hello Fellow Powerballers!

I had a Metal session last night. Overall, the results were pretty good.

My old record on the 350Hz Metal Pro was 13296 rpm. I beat this record 4 times during the 2 hour session.

The scores that beat this old record were 13325, 13361, 13360, and a new of 13401!

    Throughout the session there were 20 scores above 13K. These were the scores recorded: 13118, 13112, 13143, 13051, 13110, 13032, 13238, 13243, 13090, 13205, 13224, 13237, 13136, 13325, 13401, 13361, 13218, 13360, 13126, 13189. All these scores are listed in the order they were made.

As it usually occurs with the Metal, I began to tired and my scores began to drop off. My fingers came out of the session in good condition. I will take a rest few days and then go again.

I still feel like I can do better still. Til' next time!

    Keep Spinning All!

    Always Powerballing,
    Duane Cash

    Thanks, Ron!

I know what you mean about giving up on a session too early before the really big scores, but I'd say that two full hours using mostly the Metal is quite enough for me for this evening. The Metal is quite a "Beast". It deserves respect for its power.

Not to worry, I will do it all over again another day soon. For tonight, I have reach a little closer to my goals, and my Metal is starting to get worked in better now.

I am now in better position to lurch past the group between me and Akis.

    Thanks again!

    Always Powerballing,
    Duane Cash

    Wow that is amazing Duane!
First of massive congratulations on the new record, 100rpm is a huge leap at those speeds on the metal. But what amazes me most is that you managed 20 scores over 13k in a 2 hour session. That's amazing strength and stamina, also bearing in mind that only 9 other people in the world can get the metal over 13K. When I look at your session like that it is simply phenomenal.
can I ask was the motivation for this session and thread due to Akis' new world record?
    good luck in chasing it!

    Many Congratulations Duane,
Keep it up and soon scores like this will be a joke for you
I think resting for a while after a big session is important so rest and come back faster
    And again congratulation

Nice one Duane, no more than what I would expect from you. (In fact, quite a bit less than I think you're capable of! If you can regularly hit around 900rpm more than me with the Plastic then I feel you should be 800-900 more than me with the Metal.)

Stick with it and I'm sure you'll see results. Why not try what I did the first time I hit 13k? I'd done lots of Plastic 30s runs where I tried to keep the Powerball at 13k, no more, no less. Then I did lots of Plastic speed runs where I tried to hit 13k. Just so I knew what it felt like and what it sounded like. Then I picked up the Metal and tried to replicate the action exactly, and it only took me four or five attempts to see 13k flashing on the Metal's counter!

Do that with the Plastic, only aim to hold it at nearer 14k, (though perhaps not for 30 seconds - at least for as long as you can), and then see what happens with the Metal.

I predict 13849 on your next session!

    good job!

Jez, u & me r very close now! Cazes is 100 revs away, and Akis is t00 far, as usual

I'd love to get back to Metal, but I'm having pain on RH middle finger. It doesn't completely heal.

Moreover, I must save my finger for training my back on gym, which puts a lot of stress on my fingers. One day per week, enough to let pain decrease to an aceptable level, for the following hardcore training

So, I haven't used powerball much recently. I tested my LH on monday and did 13.3k (plastic), which is not bad for my pathetic LH.

g00d luck on your 14k-Metal journey, Duane!

    regards,
    Pako.

    Good job Duane.

And you are right about not overdoing it with the metal or else it may punish you! But you can overdo it with the plastic (sustaining hot mode) and give some good full-power metal runs in between.

Well done again (until your next record! :-)

    Kind regards

    Akis
