Another rotor problem :s

Hi all!
I was feeling my amber PB vibrating more and more (not a lot but it's annoying and i don't think it's good for performances) so i tried to exchange the rotors between this one and my neon blue. It appears that the non-neon rotor is responsible for these vibrations!
I looked it closely and couldn't find any crack, only almost invisible small lines on the fins (i believe these are not cracks but residues of when the rotor is moulded)
What's the matter with that rotor? And what's the matter with me always getting problems with rotors?

It does sound like there are cracks in the rotor. Fill out a form here.

If it is a cracked rotor they should be able to fix it up easily for you!

I already had a cracked rotor (neon blue) and this isn't similar, except for the vibrations but they are a lot less important than with my cracked rotor, i mean with this rotor i can still make 12.5k+ scores while with the cracked one i struggle to pass 10k...
I first thought of a cracked rotor as you did, but it really doesn't seem as it is the case, though you could be right and it could be only small cracks for the moment.

Is it a bent axle? I'm curious what this can be now...

It could be that the rotor is loose on the shaft. That seems to be what happens to mine. The worst case I could push the shaft in and out of the rotor. When it starts it is a rattle as it gets worse it won't go above 10k. I wouldn't use it when it does this as it really wrecked the shell it was in as well

My amber PB had started to sound "rough", i've only had it a day, but its been making a knocking sound (its my technique), At higher RPM its soon goes away though, just a lower RPM it sounds like a knocking food blender!!

Also on the climb down from high RPM to lower RPM it sounds like an R1 bike engine, so I don't mind that......

some knocking sounds also caused for dropping the ball, so the sphere get rut shapes at its tracks and when the rotor axle compleates a half rotation (i.e going on it with one axle) youll hear a little cluck, if youve ever had that just keep spinning at high speed, then it will be back to normal,
also keep in mind that the time at high speed should be about 45 mins under 9500rpm average

I find this quite difficult (i don't think i could achieve it) so how do you expect someone who own a PB since 2 days to succeed?

Edit: sorry guys i didn't look the rotor yet, i received new powerballs monday so i couldn't do anything else but to spin them...

Nitro, the vibrations and sounds you're describing almost seems like a bent axle or cracked fins.

Take a good cleaning (even the washers) before re-evaluating, but if the cleaning doesn't solve your problem I suggest you do the following:

1) check the fins for cracks and stresses,
2) check for off balanced axles (spin the rotor on a half shell and see if it spins perfectly centred, or if it wobbles)
