I've also noticed I just pulse my arm back and forth now, instead of moving my wrist round in circles. Don't deliberately do this, just keep it in mind. If you do it straight off you'll get no-where. Slowly introduce your arm in over a few sessions then your technique will have time to adjust.
It basically just happens...as Pete says, I don't think it's something you can force. Your wrist will be making a circular or elliptical motion, because the force from the Powerball will cause that to happen, but your muscles will just be twitching back and forth.
Best way I can think of to describe it is this...don't spin the rotor, but hold the Powerball in your normal grip, and grip it tight. Tense all the muscles in your arm, right up to your shoulder, (and even your opposite shoulder), as much as you can, and you might notice your arm juddering back and forth a bit. That's the sort of feeling I get when I'm "Pulsing".
Can someone demonstrate in detail maybe their grip and rotating style and arm movement and everything that is needed to get over 13k in a video or an easy step by step or something. The way I do it is holding the pb on the counter in my palm with 4 fingers on bottom and my pinkie curled half way up and just pushing on the grip. Then after about 11.5k I start circling my arm (not stiffly) clockwise and can get to no more then 12,900. A video will be best but I'm sure a lot of people would like to see a step by step video of proper technique in a video... Anyone care to do this for us that is over 14k or so? Thanks all...
Well just 5 mins ago I finally did 13,017.... Im in the 13k club after 1 month of ownership. Of course that was after a 30sec run and then 60 sec run and waiting 5 mins... So now I like to change the topic to help me get in the 14k's...Have fun powerballing...
Gratz there.
I'm 34 & i also just managed the 12k club recently & hope to progress to get it more often then finally join you in the 13k club.
Just to let you know I do it at work with my coworkers heavily every other day. I also do about 200 pushups a day as well and it took me about 2 weeks to go from 12k to 13k... The best way to improve is to do 30 and 60 runs and maxes with friends and bet money. It really motivates you in bettering yourself. Have fun as always...
If i powerballed @ work i'd probly get the sac lol
I cant do the pushups as my fat beer gut gets in the way![]()
I will try the 30's 60's & 90's as i still havent properly tried them out since i started PB'ing![]()
Blimey! I was tempted to put myself down for a free one-hour "Marine Style" training session, which mentioned doing push-ups and squat-thrusts and stuff. I thought to myself, "Wonder how many push-ups I can do?", and after 10 I was feeling the strain already.
I really should do more than just occasional Powerballing though...my arms are in great shape, but the rest of me isn't!![]()
Hi to all members here,
I've same problem as some members here. I did achieve 11337 rpm, but now i cannot get even close. My best achievement was 10700. I've read some threads and find out that scores over 12k or even little less, are requireing ditch technique or something like that. I don't know if i get it right.
I've watched few videos and i canno't understand how to do that in order to improve score. I know that you mustn't do that on deliberate, because score won't be even near as good as it should be without it. But i really don't understand how to learn it. I just listen the sound of the powerball and i know that i'm not even near of my record.
Thank you for any advise!
Greetings,
Aleksander![]()
