But actually, I have recently noticed my technique changing as my score is going up, so, I guess you were right.

    Sorry for ignoring you,

Now you make me feel all clever and important...

Adrena1in once made a very profound statement: How strong you are has got very little do do with the speeds you achieve. I, of course, thought that was the biggest load of rubbish. Until I saw what kind of scores guys like PeteMayhew were able to achieve.

Pete is a sturdy lad and I am quite sure that he is no weakling, but I have been a sportsman all my life and, apart from the last couple of months, have always been pretty fit and relatively strong. Yet Pete's score is very close to mine and his 90s score kicks my butt.... because his technique is very good.

So technique is very important. Think of the sport of javelin throw. A couple of years ago there were some big, and I mean BIG, muscular British fellows doing some good 80m plus distances. In storms a scrawny chap by the name of Jan Selezny (unsure of the spelling) and throws the javelin 10 meters further. I'm sure the british guys were stronger. But Jan had a faster and more fluent technique - hence the improvement.

You'll be surprised how fast you'll spin once your technique really becomes good.

I think you are doing well.

You should change the topic title - think optimistically! "Arran Kenny's Progress" might be a more suitable topic title.

    Default Thanks everyone

    Thanks guys!

As you can see Wild, I have changed the title of this thread to what you reccomended, and thanks for that Jammy.

I am supposed to be resting today, but I really want to have a really fast run-I'm in the mood to break my record. What should I do? Have a go, or carry on resting???

I'm no expert but i say if it's not hurting then carry on i guess.

Btw im not very strong & i can sometimes get upto 11k using my technique.
Basically i concentrate on keeping my whole arm locked while @ the same time bend my arm so that my hand is level with my waist or belt high, then i try my best to keep my arm still while i only use my wrist to spin the ball.
Keep going like this & try to make your wrist movements as small as possible but faster keeping the rest of your arm locked still.

I hope this helps you get a higher score Arran cos if a weekling like me can get 11k then im sure you can too.

    G/l & h/f.

Very good Arran. Excellent progress. Just 20 short of me.

Keep it up, I can see you right at the top of that board someday soon.

Good luck with the new rotor. I hope to have a session maybe tomorrow or Monday. Left wrist needs a fair bit more rest but hoping the right will be ready for action soon.
