OK good. Doesn't sound like tendonitis. It does sound like a pressure problem.
Unfortunately, that means doing what you don't want to hear - either resting for a couple of days or finding an alternative grip.
Chances are you only have to use the different grip for a couple of days and give the fingers a chance to rest.
You never know, you may learn to like the new grip!
You can always take up knitting for a couple of days... Will give you something to do whilst sitting in front of the TV watching the Aussies winning the worldcup!!
