I got 13986 totally from cold, after 2 weeks off and 14 hours travel.

Can't wait till tomorrow night now to have a proper session

    Here's your (Rx) prescription, James:

-Take 2 90s runs when you are rested and relaxed.

    -Rest a few minutes

-Take 1 speed run to see how you are doing.

-Take 1 30s if your arm is not pumped up enough for speed. (Repeat if necessary).

    -Rest a few minutes

-Go all out for speed for at least the next hour until you have the symptoms of being a 15k-er.

Side effects may be multiple 15k scores, the desire to keep breaking your new record, exhilaration, excitement, being drenched in sweat, and the incredible feeling of being No. #10 on the scoreboard and part of the 15k club!

Now go, James! I know you can do this already.

    Always Powerballing,
    Duane Cash

Duane, you should seriously consider becoming the first official Powerball coach. I'd sign up right here right now...

Feel exhausted at work today, but will leave early, go home and have a little sleep then we shall see. If i hit 14.5K+ I will be satisfied and if I can get 14.7K+ i will be very chuffed as then i feel it will be only a few weeks till i can hit 15K.

If James hits 15k and I hit 16k+, then I will give it some serious consideration.

Well was a fairly good session i guess. I certainly got the best scores yet since breaking my thumb, so guess I can't complain. Also still lacking energy from jetlag, but gave it about a 1 hour session anyway.

My best 90s was appaling, only 16,5**, I put that down to the lack of energy as I just couldn't sustain any great speed.

Similarly my 30s runs weren't great, but did get 6408 which was respectable.

Metal used once and just gave up with only 10,003 lol.

As for speed though, LH I got a best of exactly 13,000, only the 3rd time I've broken the 13K barrier LH, so fairly pleased.

As for the all important RH I got 14689, so just 199rpm short of my best, so not to bad i guess, physcologically (sp?) thought 14700 would have been nice.

I did though break one record, and by quite a long way. My Dual run jumped from 25626 upto 26384, a jump of 758rpm Picture below and video.

Well done mate, that pips me down a spot on the Dual-Hand league, but I'll be posting 28k soon, you wait!

It was a shame you couldn't have a session immediately after your 13.9k cold. I had a cold spin today, just after work. 13.7k 250Hz and 12k Metal! Those are actually my best ever cold spins...and I didn't have a session afterwards either. (Silly me, I could've added 1000 to either when warmed up I reckon! )

Well done James, nice mini-sesh all things considered.

And a new record out of it, to boot.

I personally find cold spins can be a little misleading as to how I'm likely to perform once warmed up for a 'proper' sesh.

I've scored 13.8k's and 13.9k's cold before now and done little better in the following sesh.

Then conversely I have also done pretty poor cold spins, barely able to break 13k and sometimes not at all, and gone on to set records.

Cold spins, for me at least, can be just a bit too random to make any predictions for a subsequent sesh.
