I just noticed "9500 on the metal", thats really pretty good using that technique - almost the best I've heard of anyone else doing. (Edouard got upper 12k on the 250hz with it) But you definitely want to watch those fingers. The way I hold it kind of locks my fingers mostly on the far side of the ball(with the rotor facing upwards).

I would say that my right hand does 60-70% of the work... it actually feels like my left is just tagging along for the ride, but it definitely does much more than that.
