    Default Dying Powerball?

Hi, I've had my beautiful neon powerball for around a month now and over the last week it has got worse an worse to the point that it makes a ridiculous amount of noise, and is very hard to get over 10k when I usually get around 12k.

I have tried taking it apart cause it is very dust inside but I can't!
I take out the 2 screws but it is still stuck as anything!

    Can anyone help?

    Hey

Sounds like one of the fins on your rotor is broken or cracked, does it vibrate rapidly when at speeds of over 10K ? If it does you most likely have a cracked rotor. This covers alot of what your having problems with >>>>>>>> Powerball FAQ

If your trying to open the powerball read >> this
    Its easier then you think

So look at your powerball and be careful in taking it apart as you don't want to lose any small things like washers. When you have taken the 2 shells off ---

Check for white dust or dirt that can stop the powerball from functioning properly. Like in the picture on the ring which houses the support band you can see little white flecs which has come off the spheres, if you find this just whipe it with a moist cloth. Do not get any water on the screen! Just a damp cloth on the outside of the ring, and make sure your ball is totally dry when re-assembling.

Ok if its still a problem after all the procedure i've gone through in this thread email repairs@powerballs.com and state clearly what the problems are and what parts you need. Also mention the colour and model of your ball ( if your not sure look on the rubber grip band)

Post in how you get on and if theres anymore problems or questions just ask and people on the forum can help out

    Regards
    Pete

Hi there, I did manage to get it apart eventually. (It was very stubborn but I have the technique now)

And i found loads of grime around the ring so i cleaned that and put it back together and it was no better.

So i opened it up again, and as you said, there was a big crack on each fin!
I was quite amazed cause i've only dropped it once and that was after it became this bad,

So the solution is a new rotor?

Yep looks like your going to have to email repairs@powerballs.com and ask for replace ment rotor and support band. Make sure you include the exact model including colour. Hope this works for you.

    Keep me posted

There's a form you can fill in here, and we'll try to get a replacement out to you as soon as possible.

    Thanks,
    Tim.
