    Default PowerBall and LEDs

A while back I emailed yourselves and made a few suggestions.. one of them being.. how about fitting LEDs to the Powerball which light up when the Powerball is in motion. I see this version is being marketed by ******** (Japan) "http://www.paramountzone.com/powerball.htm" describes it.. can you supply some more info and why I've not heard anything ??

The powerball you are looking at in not as powerful as this one. I would guess that that powerball being less powerful is to do with the product being offbalance. Even the slightest weight on the incorrect side can affect the powerball. That is why this powerball is the best in the world. So perfectly balanced. Sure anyone should know that.

    For the purist...
Converting any of the force you exert into spinning this device into electrical energy would, as far as I know, take away an rpm or so... I tell myself it doesn't matter, until I look at that high-score board with 3 consecutive rpm's topping the charts...

I've got both with and without LED's and i for one seem to consistently get higher scores with the one with LED's. I'm just at 12950, but still.. :-)

There has been a Powerball Neon out for some time now, i emailed this site and i got told the ordering page will soon be updated to include these other models. They also seem to go at a max 15k rpm but are marketed as 13k+. There's even one with the score in flashing LEDs called the Powerball Techno.

Yes we at Powerballs.com have LED powerballs, know as powerball neons, available in both blue and green, and the ever inceasing in popularity powerball techno, which as described in an earlier reply does display the score on the gyro itself. We have found that the neon glow balls are ever so sliightly harder to push to the higher speeds, but it's possible, and just adds to both the fun, and the exercise.
    Powerball....Absolutely Revolutionary!!

would it be possible to have the LEDs light different colours for the higher revs ie 12k red 13k green 14k blue 15k white?
it would help when you go for the top speeds

This is a good suggestion rew and is in our future plans (trick at present is to keep up with demand with what is currently out there!) - the technology to achieve this effect is well within our capabilities at present so look out for further news on this as we go forward, regards Vera

I totally agree with rew. Color changing as rpm increases would be unbelieveably cool. Talk about an amazing improvement to an already amazing product. Any chance of a e-mail when this version becomes available?
