Well that's 112 times in the 7200's so the law of averages are clearly not on my side!! Not a single 7264... And if I get 7256 one more time, the ball is likely to go through my window!!! 17 TIMES!!! THAT'S NOT RANDOM!!

No, it's not, it's something to do with the programming in the counter. I posted a thread about it somewhere, but basically, if you're spinning at roughly 7256, (give or take 30 or so rpm), and you press ON/CLR, 7256 will be the first score displayed. It's a "feature" of the counters. Bit faster and you'll notice that 7317 will be the first value displayed on pressing ON/CLR...61 greater than 7256. Bit slower and it'll be 7195...61 less.
