    Hi jimb0_d,

I just received an e-mail from Rory to let me know they'll prepare a package with the new components tomorrow (Friday) for me. They've been very busy and Enda will be back in the weekend.

As for my broken PowerBall, yeah it's a real bummer, as it was my best, and I felt I could hit 15k with it one of these days. Moreover, I already voted in my own poll: last option (never broken one). But then two were broken in one week: a Neon Blue dropped (not by myself) and then my favourite just snapped during a 14690rpm run. *sob*

Ah well, guess I'll just have to continue with my second-best and see if I can hone it for 15k. At least now I can join the 'big club of PowerBall-breakers'!!! )

    Kind regards,
    Dennis

I dropped my 250 the other day. I wasn't even using it at the time so there really is no excuse!

Ever since it knocks slightly when I use it. I haven't really seen any difference in my speeds, but, I am a bit concerned that the knocking is going to have an effect on the ball and it effectivness? This is by far the best thing I have used for strength training so if I have knackered it, I'll have to do something about it!

    Any ideas anyone?

RNUK, the knocking is most likely a dent in the "runner" that the axle sits on.
Usually after a few days hard use the axle "sandpapers" the dent smooth and it stops clunking.

    You should be fine.

I dropped it quite few times, my friends did drop it the most times, the ones that are using it for their first time, my friend for example holded it and gave it couple of strikes with his hands then he lost the grip and the ball sent airborn, thats why my techno ball scores are quite dizzy

I just dropped mine and is like 1 week old. OUCH!!!!! and I wasnt using IT!! it got its own wheels and ran off like crazy after i gently put it down on a table. The next thing I hear is a CRASH BOOM BANG!! I didnt even know what was that sound till I found the ball missing.

My heart broke as well. Now its making that jerking sound. I searched online and it seems to be a common thing. PHEW!

Is it really true that ring will sandpaper the rut? WIll it affect the performance of the ball? Now I got one more problem. I cant run it at 10k rpm for 60sec...

Another problem. My ball seem to be vibrating alot.. is it usual? That is before the drop. Also it give a screeching sound at times as though there is a friction.

Looks like your Rotor is cracked, order a new rotor here: http://www.powerballs.com/repairs/

Try to spin the Powerball as fast as you can for as long as you can and this should smooth out the rut somewhat. The other thing you can do is to use some very light sandpaper to gently smooth the rut.

The screeching sound could be a number of things but try smoothing out the rut first to see if it improves. While you have the Powerball open when smoothing out the rut, it would be worth while checking the rotor for cracks also in case it was damaged in the fall.

    Regards

    Enda

    Ok Folks,

I will admit it, l have only ever killed a powerball once whilst all others have never been dropped or abused and unfortunately have grown old until retirement. These then have been either used through a donor system to provide quality of life to those powerballs less fortunate to come out their homes at blistering speeds or to retire, never used again only winking at me every now and then, reminding me what they once achieved in their day!

It saddens me to show this video but l know it is what the little sphere wanted. VIP 16 Oct 2007

    Keep spinning but be kind!
