    Default Help!!!

I got my neon blue powerball pro for Christmas and all my cousins were over so we were having a competition, they didnt understand about holding it tightly and it was dropped several times from shoulder hight. After they had all had a go and it came back to me it was making a strange clunking scraping sound, later that week i took it apart and cleaned it an looked for the grooves that had been mentioned the the Q+A section, but i couldnt find any. Help!!!

Hi Rich...please give your cousins our best regards.

    :-)

Those little "ruts" will definitely be there if you look closely on the flat platter on the inside surface of the sphere (the section on which the rotor support band sits)...the metal axle will have put a nice little dent in the plastic and they should be either visible to the naked eye or you should be able to 'feel' them if you twist the rotor around as the support band sits on the platter (as the axle passes over each rut)...please let us know your requirements thereafter. Hiya, i looked again and found a tiny dent, but it still makes a wierd noise even if it isnt turning around that way.
Could it be the rotor or support thing???

Anything is possible I guess Rich - please make sure that the axle is making a snug fit in both sides of the rotor support band - any slack there and you'll get vibration during spin. Regards Rory
