No updates from me lately but my scores had really been nothing special.

Anyway, on the Tuesday before the Manchester competition I bought a new neon to practice on, I ended up getting 13,640 rpm, new neon record.

On the Tuesday after the competition I had a session with my Manchester ball, to say it was bad is an understatement, I got 9.6k LH and 13.1k RH.

After that I switched to the neon I bought the week earlyer and got 13,076 LH and 13,865 RH another new neon record.

The following Friday I had another session with the neon, managed 13,142 LH, and to my complete suprise (and delight) 14,038 RH new neon record, and only 5 rpm off my speed record!

This in only the 4th time I've ever scored over 14k, and never before on a neon.

19/12/2008 -- 14,038 rpm -- neon pro blue

So now I'm really hoping I can keep it up and finally get a new record...

Wow, that sounds like a fast Neon you've got there Barry. Stick with it and hopefully you'll be posting some new records soon.

I was going to buy a Neon from a local shop and pretend I was in Manchester, but I wanted a Green one and the shop I know that sells them only had Blues.

Well the fast neon wasn't as fast as I'd hoped for this time, maxed out at 13,106 LH and 13,739 RH.

Not bad scores for me really, but after that 14k on Friday I was left feeling pretty disappointed.

Fridays are usually my faster session, so maybe there's still a new record or just another 14k on the cards for me this year.

Friday's session max scores were 13,112 LH and 13,795 RH.

Looks like last Fridays 14k neon was one hell of a fluke, hot mode for me at the same time the ball was in it's best condition.

I should start on a new regular ball.... eventually.

That fast neon I had, the rotor fins have cracked, I tried swapping rotors with the slow Manchester neon but that didn't help at all, it must be the rotor that is slow.

Best scores with a blue regular pro on Friday were 12,966 rpm LH and 13,621 rpm RH.

I did get a 6021 30s RH though, that was pleasing.

Best score with the raptor was 17,242 rpm RH, just 16 rpm short of my record.

...and that's about it, think I'll start on a new ball for my next session.

First time powerballing since January and just to get my name on the live scoreboard really.

Started off with the raptor and eventually got that up to 17037 rpm, then picked a plastic ball from my big box of packed away powerballs and got 13133 rpm first spin and just got slower after that.

I guess that's not bad after 4 months off.

I'm feeling it now though, my neck's aching, along with my shoulders, back, arm, wrist and thumb.... other than that I'm fine .

It remains to be seen if this was one off or if I'll get back into it now.

Good to see you back Barry...it's been too quiet around here lately and we need the "old gang" all back and spinning again.
