Default barrybpl's powerball news / achievements here

    Hello All,

Well I couldn't resist any longer, I went and bought myself a metal!!

WOW!! It's a lot heavier than I was expecting, and so smooth, not to mention good looking, I didn't want to touch it, but I got over that

I did an hour with it, five minutes per hand, managed 318,600 revs, that's 5,310 rpm average. My right hand could just about cope, left was a struggle. After a rest I tried my first and so far only speed run with it, managed 9,735 rpm.

Apart from the hour on Friday that I spent powerballing with two plastic balls that I've already mentioned elsewhere that's all I've done.

    Still addicted,

    --Barry.

The metal really is a lovely ball. I love and hate it due to how slippy it is though, but it sure does work the arm out.

Thanks Skyler, I thought I'd treat myself to an early Christmas present, though torture may be a better choice of words, I'm finding it really hard work.

I know what you mean there Tstering, I'm stuggling to keep hold of a mine a bit, and that's caused a pretty nasty blister on my left hand, so I may be forced to give it rest.

I did manage to increase my one hour, five minutes per hand score to 331,600 revs though.

I'm kind of the same really. I'm not in this to strengthen my grip, which is why I use a grip-enhancer for the Metal, because then I only love it. (And respect it in the morning of course!)

Just a quick post to say i got my one hour of five minutes per hand metal score to 350,500 revs and after that passed the 10,000 rpm mark with 10,011 rpm. Beating personal records feels great

I've only gone and done it again

Up to 10,070 rpm with the metal now.

Since using the metal the plastic seems soo light now, but I still cant beat my record (12,729) on that, though I am getting closer than I've been in a while.

I find that improvements with the Metal don't necessarily mean you'll see improvements with the plastic. In fact, I find them to be mutually exclusive. I was making massive improvements with the Metal a couple of months back, to the value of adding around 1000 revs to my record, yet my Plastic speed was quite static. The other day I upped my plastic record, yet my Metal scores were a bit pants.

I've not posted anything for a while, so here's an update.

First up, I've finally looped the metal for the first time!!

Took me between 12/12/2006 and 09/01/2007, really pleased to get it done in under a month.

    Metal records at this point are;

10,403 rpm (rh) 9,910 rpm (lh)
