    Default Broken rotor axle

    Hi,

I was Powerballing this morning again with my Blue 250Hz Pro, and when I got up to over 13k I heard a snap. I realized quickly that axle had broke on my Powerball, and upon opening up the little I saw that indeed the axle had broke and that the support band inside got a little damaged.

Normally I would have recorded the run, but this time I did have the webcam going because I needed to reset the webcam but hadn't yet. I did a picture of the broken axle on the rotor for you here:

    http://www.dilaigraphics.com/brokenRotor.jpg

The last time I had the rotor axle snap on me, rotor knock around wildly and obliterated the rest of the Powerball including the counter. At least this time it didn't jump around like that, and only messed up the support band.

It appears I need another rotor assembly with the support band for this one.

I'll right an email to you with the Powerball info, etc. so I can get a replacement. It's a good thing I have other Powerballs to keep me going while I wait.

These Powerballs are still the best quality out there. For those reading about it issue, keep in mind that this Powerball has seen speeds in excess of 14,000, and that after the amount of use I have put into the product, it has been outstanding in its performance. It's only when you are close to achieving world-class scores that a little extra strain is placed on these fine instruments. Powerballs.com is the best place to get a Powerball.

    Always Powerballing,
    Duane Cash

Wow, thats really interesting. I've never seen anything like that before. And you sure have a way of turning a powerball disaster into an outstanding testimonial.

Today I broke again another powerball when I was doing 20min endurance and the speed wasn't even that fast. It's just suddenly starting to vibrating like hell, no snapping. Now I have broke 3 balls in last 4 months.

These 250hz balls are just too fragile. I think you need to do some redesigning. Like the same way that in metal, but lighter rotor. Or just use stronger materials.

Sounds like a cracked rotor. Both my neons have done that twice. No problem with my 250hz though.

Yeah, my Neon has just done that for the third time. I feel kind of bad keep requesting a new one. I'm always so careful with it too
