Default RPM Powerballs, NSD Powerballs and ******** powerball??

    Hi all..

what are the difference between these powerballs?? I am in the US and I can only find ******** powerballs.. I bought an amber version powerball plus NSD speedometer.. I can clock it about 10,500-11,500 RPM within 1 day of trying.. I would love to try the RPM Powerballs as well as NSD Powerballs..

Who were the first inventor of this great device??

    THANK YOU THANK YOU

RPM Sports is the name of a company based in Ireland, which re-badges and distributes NSD Powerballs...and also runs this excellent site...and is (as far as I know) the only retailer offering a full lifetime warranty.

NSD stands for Nanosecond, the company that actually makes the Powerballs themselves.

Can't tell what the other company you're talking about it, because the forums have asterisked out the name, (as we don't allow the mentioning of competitor products here.)

Basically, any NSD Powerballs are going to be computer-balanced and perform well. (I recently purchased, secondhand, a very old NSD Powerball...it just says "Nanosecond Powerball" on the grip band, and the counter was so old it had an On/Off switch, and doesn't store the score when it's switched off. I'm guessing it's pretty old, but it's still smooth as silk!)

Any non-NSD Powerballs might be unbalanced and cheap and nasty, so I would personally recommend avoiding such products.

There is a nice entry in Wikipedia that explains all about the history of the powerball and the 2 companies that started it all.
