I've just beaten my pb on my new metal powerball....the technique...slap on a set of ur mums washing up gloves!....the constant problem i had was the shiny metalball slipping out of my hand at high speed, though i felt that i still had strength left.

Not sure if this is classed officially as cheating or not, though i suppose some have sweatier mitts than others. Also my mate is a rockclimber and he uses climbing 'chalk' which absorbes the sweat from the hands, thus increasing grip!

My score was incidentally was : 10283

I've tried them too, but I do a lot of switching of hands when I have a Powerballing session, and I found that with the rotor towards my palm it would rub on the rubber gloves. Otherwise it does definitely help the grip.

Personally I use a sort of liquid magnesium, like climbing chalk only a liquid, which quickly dries to a very sticky surface, and is excellent for the Metal. (I use the Metal without the rubber grip too, which also helps.)

I have managed 11700 without the grip stuff, when I've had a warm, damp hand, but with the grip stuff I've managed over 12000.

Im intreged with this liquid magnisium, does it leave a residue on the PB or anything that would be difficult to clean off?

its not difficult to clean off, but it dont looks like shiny afterwards you use it .

It just hit me that I havent posted the technique I use for keeping my hands dry for Powerballing. I find that using a Soap that is very slightly Alkaline will cause your hands to dry out (I dont like the feeling) but it really helps with powerballing because it stops your hands sweating as much. If you use it just before powerballing it will work best (and keeps your hands nice and clean)

I use lether gloves, for max. speed are good, but for stenght index is better simple human skin

Marigolds didn't work atall for me, was a total disaster.

I'm still looking for the best thing to grip my metal PB. Even SurGrip isn't working for me, I need something even stickier lol.
