Powerball Techno Problem

I get one red line almost immediately (low pitch).

Then I quickly increase speed drastically (much higher pitch and force).

The second red line simply won't light up, no matter how fast I increase speed -- instead I get what looks like a solid blue line, not blinking. I guess this is around 8000 rpm. This is the first time I see the blue led, and it appears after maybe 6-10 seconds after the first red line, nothing close to 15-18 seconds described in the manual.

And as always, it never displays any scrolling figures.

Hmm i dont own a techno model, but it seems to me that you should try to increase your scores...

Sorry to dissappoint you but if its solid blue, it means youre not even over 6k... when youre over it it will start blinking i.e start counting... it will count for 30 seconds though, so keep youre speed over it, if you want the standard mode just wait about 15 secs below 6k and it will switch to red line again, then start pumping power to it and if youre over 8k it will display score, if youre below it will show "NEW NSD POWERBALL" msg, if you do this twice (the msg thingy) it will show you scores below 8k... I Can also note that if you want to tell your score by just looking at the strapes, Any line means 1k, the count starts from 6k so if you want 8k thats 3 solid lanes....
I Can say ive justve seen youre movie, youre spinning it with too big rotations... try decreasing the rotation radius and increasing the rotation speed even more, the sound uve got at the video is quite close to 6k, its about 5700 so if youve worked little bit harder you could get score,
Take a look at my vid below (signature) and look how it would look like and sound like with applying more than 6k... it was with my corrupt ball so the dont take care for the other sounds..

He certainly doesn't do any higher speeds than me, and still he gets two lines, and a scrolling 'NSD POWERBALL'.

I NEVER get a second red line or anything scrolling. Taking that video as a reference point, mine seems to have a fault, but I'll still try working on speed and post an other video then.

If it's my fault, it certainly isn't that I can't get it fast enough, just that I cannot accelerate quickly enough to avoid the blue led. In my video, it was maybe a seventh run in a go, so my hand was already a bit tired.

man ive compared my speed with youre speed, as in with the sounds, i didnt got score too, its little bit below 6k, 6k will show you one solid strape thats is only at one location, your leds are bouncing which means its below, im quite experienced at it, try doing the tip ive told you, youre rotations are hell big, my friend gave this thing a nick which is "Cement Mixer" keep practising and youll see you will make it, first wait till a first line, then the second one will come fast once you get the first, the third it a little bit problem and the forth and fifth(and so on...) are even harder to get, also the second guy did passed you, ive (again) compared the sounds and got to this conclusion . and again, dont let the blue line lit up, since youre having trouble getting 6k, a score of the blue "mode" will never lit up, youll have to hit 6k for 30 secs so it will show u a score...

Ok, thanks Ronasor, I've managed to get the 'NEW NSD POWERBALL' message to scroll trice in a row now. Your intructions were Much more enlightening than anything I've read so far. The instructions that came with the ball were useless. On the first run after reading your message, I could do this immediately -- and after that I could only do it after calmly waiting for the blue led to vanish.

When you talk about the 'first red line' , you actually mean a stronger line than just the first red led?

I've only been using it for a few days (my first powerball), and I managed to make my technique a bit better last night.

I guess I'm just damn weak, not being able to display a score!!

Having watched videos on Youtube where little kids get scores scrolling across, I guess my judgment of the required effort was not adequate.

Just as you said, after displaying 'NSD POWERBALL' twice I got a score: 6252.

Ok, I finally understood how this works. Thank you so much, ronasor.

EDIT: OK, I increased my score to 6622. Slowly getting there...

I just got a techno powerball 2 days ago. My arms are aching bad. lol. I think I've figured out the difference between the two modes but when I go to read my score it looks like it's trying to display #'s or words but they are not legible. Am I doing something wrong or do I have a defective ball? I hope not cuz I don't want to have to wait for the return.
