The furthest muscle building with ONLY powerballing?
As unlikely as it sounds, what's the furthest gain anyone has made due to only or mostly using the powerball? Both in strength, endurance and speed.
I do mix it up with a little weights, some chin-ups and handstand pressups and punchbag work. Just curious to see if any desk jockeys who don't feel like doing other stuff have gone further with only this device?
well am 21.. have been powerballing about 10 months now.. and before that i never did any kind of excercise, ive always been a skiny person..

Quite hard to measure really. I used to play a lot of badmiton, and being right handed my right forearm was quite nicely toned. I also used to fly powerkites a lot, so my general upper-body strength was quite good.
Not done either of those sports for ages now, but I pick up a Powerball most days. My shoulders have never been so big, and my overall arm muscle-mass is way bigger these days. Wish I'd measured my forearms and upper arms before getting into Powerball.
Before Powerballing, I didn't do any sports except for Rubik's Cube speedsolving and chess - nothing really physical, mostly mental. PC Gaming is another thing I do-again most mental. My current job is at a desk and I work long hours (70-90 hours) during the week. I get hardly any exercise. I did the occasional weight-lifting, but long ago. I am strong, but I could improve greatly.
After 2 weeks of owning a Poweball, I "feel" bigger. I may be a little bigger, but at least the feeling is there. I feel the work my arms are doing, and the muscles are coming to life again. I feel my arms are getting in shape again like after my weight-lifting sessions long ago. Since I work from home, I can pick up the Powerball at any instance and starting training again. I find myself picking it up often - so often I have to force myself to put it down.
I don't plan to do much else other than the Powerball except for lower body exercises so I can see what improvements are made just from Powerballing.
With a lot of practice and honing in on the technique, I might be able to one day get into the Top 100 boards. By then I will be submitting videos and then the growth in my arm may be more apparent.
Till then, I will keep spinning the Poweball!
if by lower body you mean legs... then surprise!!!

5 weeks on...speed hasn't improved but strength has.
Well I can't crack my 11800 record with the heavy metal ball BUT, I need new plates for my dumbells. Never happened before. Not sure how heavy the bars are (say a kg?) and 18.5kg of plates on each bar. That's the most on each hand I've ever used for side laterals. I've also reached the point where the biceps curl needs more plates. Whats funny is I only started 5-6 weeks ago. I done nothing since august last year and at the end of that year I could just barely used 16.5kgs in each hand-after a year of home training. Right now I'm ready to jump up to 20kgs on each hand. I only use 3 main dumbell exercises, the other work relies on chinups, a variation on rows (low bar I lie under to pull up), bag work and the local hills (they're pretty hard).
