    Default Incredible advances

Is it normal to be stuck at one level for a while, and then just totally blow it away? I just BLASTED through 12k... four times in a row!!!

My previous record was 11805, and I wasn't getting that high again, just 11700 or so at best. Then I just tried again, spun it up, and 12060! I went to show my brother... then right in front of him I did it again - 12390! One more try... 12460... One last time?.... 12477!!! My fingertips feel a bit like they were going to blister, but I have no wrist soreness. I wouldn't be able to do it again at the moment, but still.... Is this normal? I almost thought the counter was broken for a minute. Is it?

no it is not this is a normal human stage and you feel really good when you reach it... we powerballers call it "the hot mode"

Oh to have a "Hot Mode" again myself! My biggest such mode was when I was hovering around 11900, with a record of 12006, and I immediately jumped up to 12802. From then on I could always get 12500 to 12800.

Oh to even be able to score that high again these days! I'm having the biggest "Cold Mode" ever at the moment!

There are some mid to high 14k'ers at the moment who got there very quickly.

Saucé Guillaume went from something like 14100 to 14500 very quickly, then a bit higher, then fractured an arm in his wrist, but came back with a 14800+ soon after he recovered. Craig Mackellar's also shot very quickly from the low to high 14ks. Edouard Kik was behind me in speed about 7 or 8 months ago, but is sitting on 14200ish. And the most recent improver seems to be Blaise Arnaud, who's gone up about 700 revs to 14414 very quickly, (using the "Bjorn Technique" he says!)

(I need to update the scoreboard comments really, rather than posting all this here!)

I had one of those today, I was stuck around 11424, and then today I picked up my powerball and jumped to 11846, then 11946. I put down my ball thinking I would probably reach 12,000 by next week, but I picked it up a little later and got 12268. After that I've been able to get into low 12,000 a couple of times. But I'm gonna make sure i don't fall into a cold mode, I'm gonna keep this up until I get into 13,000. If I retire there's only 1 way I can go, down...
