The Official Unofficial Thread of the Powerball Online Championship 2012

POC is not affilated with or produced by RPM Sports,yet its the chance of many powerballers to compete from their home at that true test of competition! (If that succeeds maybe the next one will have real prizes!)


Groups:

-> U18 - Spinners under the age of 18
-> Senior - Spinners over 18 years old with speed less that 14k
-> Masters - Spinners of any age with sped higher than 14k

Note: In case the U18 group has few participants it will be merged with the Senior group.

Categories:

-> Speed (The classic highest rpm run)
-> Sprint (30 seconds from the strength mode)
-> Endurance (90 seconds from the strength mode)

Note: All categories refer to the plastic 250hz powerball.

Dates:

three(3) rounds in total

-> Round 1: Saturday-Sunday 18-19th February ALL DAY
-> Round 2: TBA
-> Round 3: TBA

All Dates refer to a single day ranging from 0:01 AM to 23.59 PM giving the participants the ability to spin in whatever time they want in that single day.

Regulations,FAQ's and Terms:


1.Participation:

All participants must register at the forums(which is in fact a very simple process) and complete the following entry form,then reply to this thread with the form completed:

2.Powerballs:

The only acceptable powerballs are 250hz classic powerballs with counter or pro's.
Autostarts and Raptors are forbidden in the Masters Category.
Raptors are forbidden in all categories.

3.Categories:
Competitors can participate in one,two or all categories.

4.Submissions and live scoreboard

The system used for the POC will be the one used in the Live Competition.
Competitors must login to the web chat with the username they provided so that we know who that competitor is.The chat can be found here

For Speed type !speed xxxxx
example: !speed 11102
For Sprint: !30s xxxx
example: !30s 5309
For endurance: !90s xxxxx
example: !90s 14184

Update:Because there seems to be problem with the scoreboard(keeps the old scores and doesnt reset) you can use twitter using the hashtag #nsdpoc2012 to post your scores and in the end of the day i will make the final classification (simply make a twitter client with your username and in each tweet you make write for example "30s 7100 #nsdpoc2012"

5.Winner:

The Winner of each round is the spinner with the highest score in the category he participates.For instance a person may be the winner of the speed category and of the endurance category as well (1 winner in each group).
It should be noted that the live scoreboard will contain ALL the competitors so dont be anxious as you should only care for your group's scores.

The top 3 spinners of each group must post a picture of their score as a proof that they really achieved that score.

6.Absence:

If someone doesnt participate in a round,he gets zero(0) rpm in each category he participates.

7.OPC Champion:

There are 3 OPC Champions(in each group!):
1)OPC U18/Senior/Masters Speed Champion
2)OPC U18/Senior/Masters Sprint Champion
3)OPC U18/Senior/Masters Endurance Champion


The OPC champion in each category will be the spinner who has achieved the highest average rpm in his/her group(the sum of the scores achieved in all 3 rounds divided by 3).

Quick Example:

Spinner1 : (Speed) 13510 - 13074 - 13729 : Final Score: 13437 rpm
Spinner2 : (Speed) 13001 - 13881 - 13100 : Final Score: 13327 rpm

So Spinner1 is the Sprint Champion.
