These thoughts have been inside my mind for a long time so decided to write them here:


Thought #1: EdTechers vs Grippers

I have seen many people with speeds ranging from 13k to 15k using the burst "eduard" techique in both 30's and 90's endurance runs.I have seen the difference of grip and eduard technique(not only me but all the powerball community) which is very very obvious.Giving a spin then waiting for 5 to 10 secs...onother spin..wait again.That isnt endurance right?By bursting you dont get tired at the end or even struggle to keep the ball spinning at the same rpm for 90 seconds.So my suggestion here is that all grippers at the scoreboards get a special badge mentioning that it was gripper and ed techers should have no badge and mentioning at the top that they were using the eduard technique.I also could not understand why Akis has one burst and one grip entry at the scoreboards(doesnt that mean that everyone will lose one position?)

Thought #2:Powerball activity

My second thought is that i am seeing the powerball community to be constantly dying...day by day a little more.I remember when i registered for the first time at the forums back on 2009 there was good activity on the forum and there also were lots of competitions including the Live competition every week(where is it now????) and these "mini leagues" between many members(i remember playing around with boazzam and avfc back in 2010 when we were around 11k5 rpm).So my question is,where have all these guys been?I remember Adrenal1n,boazzam,avfc,zenden and a bunch of newbies that were trying to fit into the powerball community.As far as im concerned these guys have visited the community for the last time in 2010 and no no news from them.I browsed old threads of the community(2007-2008) and i saw some tremendous activity there with people that seem to have stopped there(take a look at the scoreboard for example;most of the scores were done in 2006-2007) like Pako,duane,jeremy,paul,robert,stephen and even Akis!Now only see tuomas,tuomas #2,ben and mika...So is the powerball mania dying or what?Id love to see some activity there,you know that type of fun and rivalry going among all of us,that little thing that made powerballing so special.

You are right there is a big difference with Ed or Grip... Going 90s one hand grip non-stop is a killer workout (makes me sweat) while Ed is a more technical for max score..I even find my mind set before each of these sets different... 30s I haven't seen much of a difference but I'm sure that is because my top end speed is only in the 13k and the set being so short...
