    hi mate sorry i didnt get back to you sooner,i couldnt find the message you left,anyway maybe this can help you out?
    The change in angular momentum of the rotor must be in the direction of the net torque acting on it. if the rotor is spinning intially it has a large angular momentum along its axel,the net torque is perpendicular to the angular momentum so the axel will move along the track in the direction you spin you wrist as that is what applies the torque.
